Creating lifelong memories through adventure
Adventurous activities are a fantastic way of bringing groups together, whether that’s to bond a new group of students or concrete already established friendship. Learning new skills, developing teamwork, introducing leadership techniques or just breaking the ice, a programme of activities can make a real difference.
If you are looking to visit us for a day, a few hours or regularly over a few weeks we can create an activity programme that will maximise your time.
Experiences for your group
We want to make the most of your day with us at the New Forest Outdoor Centre and have lots of experience creating bespoke programmes. We design your day with you to ensure that the activity choice and delivery will meet your needs and maximise your experience.
Our day visits offer learning experiences with a real focus on ‘doing’ rather than sitting and listening. As we only work with one group at a time there is scope to flex activity timings and run things differently, focusing more or less time on specific activities to focus on your outcomes.
Creating a supportive learning environment encouraging and enabling young people to stretch themselves
We can tailor our activities to suit your particular learning objectives whether that be learning more about the local wildlife, plants and the habitats, or giving your students a fun shared experience, they will remember for years to come.
As participants learn to rely on each other in an outdoor adventure context, a sense of camaraderie develops that focuses the team members on the goals of themselves and the group.
Our instructors facilitate a supportive environment encouraging and enabling young people to stretch themselves appropriately.
A real sense of adventure
The Carpenters barn provides a base for groups onsite. It is the hub of our outdoor centre; a place with toilets, picnic tables, car parking and most importantly tea and coffee.
If the weather is good groups can picnic on the lawns and around the campfire circle, if less pleasant there is plenty of space in the barn and marquee.
When offsite the remoteness of our activities is part of their attraction and creates both a real sense of adventure and a need to carry lunch and water with you. Access to toilets will be limited and we will arrange drinking water top up if required.
Catering can be organised in the form of packed lunches, BBQs or sit-down meals in our marquee.
